NOTES: 1. Heartworm checks may be performed every third (3rd) year IF: 
a) dog is on interceptor, sentinel, heartgard or Revolution and
b) the dog has been receiving the product every month, year round, and,
c) dog has not changed area of residence.
2. Heartworm checks should be performed yearly IF:
a) dog is not on any heartworm prevention at all
b) dog is not on interceptor, sentinel, heartgard, Revolution
c) dog is on Moxidectin (Proheart)
d) dog spends any significant amount of time near water, or
e) dog has a history of travel.
f) dog has missed a dose of heartworm preventive.
f) dog has changed area of residence.
3. Fecal Parasite checks should be done annually since there is a high incidence
of transmission of roundworms to people (>10,000 cases in 1997).
