Matt
Murphy, DVM
 Dr.
Matt Murphy is an honors graduate of Texas A&M
University's College of Veterinary Medicine.
He started with
us as a veterinary technician many years ago. He joined Chastain
Veterinary Medical Group as a full veterinarian in 1998.
Dr. Matt has a strong interest
in internal medicine, veterinary dentistry, and oncology (cancer
treatment). He has also become what we refer to as our resident
"pig guru" - due to his special interest in pigs:
guinea pigs and pot-bellied pigs.
Dr Matt is married to a fabulous
architect, Christy Murphy. Together they have 3 dogs (Nikki,
Cory and Maude) and 2 guinea pigs (Comet and Polly). In his
spare time, Dr. Matt enjoys serious bicycling and is an accomplished
home gardener.
