Accidents, illnesses, injuries and other emergencies do occur. You’re upset, nervous and you need help fast. We understand, we take it seriously, and we stand ready to guide you, gently but rapidly, through the crisis as we work together to determine or do what’s best for your pet.

Here’s how our emergency system works:

Regular Business Hours: For emergencies occurring during our regular business hours (generally 7 am to 7 pm), first try calling our main number: 972 239-1309.

Call us at any time if you are worried about your pet. Our facilities are available for small animals in medical emergencies during regular business hours – seven days a week. Our paraprofessional staff are trained to give general guidance and information over the phone and to get all the information required to handle any veterinary medical situation by being patient and asking pertinent questions. Please bear with them in this. Time matters, but so does accuracy of information.

If the situation genuinely sounds serious, our staff can reorganize the doctor’s schedule to make time for your pet, right now, in most cases. Less serious cases can be worked in or scheduled at times more convenient for the pet owner.

After-Hours: For after-hours emergency advice, call our emergency messaging system, 24-hours a day, at 214 439-7233.

Again, please call us at any time if you are worried about your pet. Our doctors are experienced in handling most small animal medical emergencies and are trained to give medical information, general guidance, and, in some cases, even treatment advice for pets belonging to established clients, all over the phone.

Depending on the seriousness of your pet’s medical problem, we may arrange to meet you at the animal hospital at a pre-arranged time, or we may suggest that you take your pet to the Animal Emergency Clinic of Dallas.
